It’s nearly winter.
You know what that means? It’s time to ditch the clubs for those cosy nights in with the squad. Honestly, what’s better than: not having to shave, eating a ton of junk food, and binging on Netflix (nothing, nothing is better).
So here is our list for those must-see Netflix films. It’s a mix of the classic, the new, as well as a little dash of Bollywood!
Into the Wild (2007)
Spoiler alert: you’ll need to prep tissues for the end.
Into the wild, follows recent graduate Christopher McCandless, as he abandons all his possessions and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way he meets a series of characters who shape his life — including a young Kristen Stewart. This is the perfect film for those of us who have always dreamed of going off the grid. You’ll be thinking about this one for a while.
Netflix is a haven for Bollywood films!
Introducing Queen. It’s the perfect film for all of us strong, independent women who have been jaded by the former men in our lives. The film follows ‘Queen’ who decides to go on a solo honeymoon around Europe, despite her fiancé cancelling the wedding.
Pretty Woman (1990)
We don’t have to explain this one.
This classic has everything: getting revenge on snobby saleswomen, seeing opposites attract, and that awesome jewellery scene featuring that red dress (and the unforgettable laugh).
Coming to America (1988)
Who doesn’t love this movie?!
Coming to America features Eddie Murphy as an extremely pampered African prince who travels to NYC (while undercover) and tries to find a wife.
The Craft (1996)
The best movie combination that could possibly exist: horror, witchcraft, and private school.
The Craft sees a newcomer to a prep high school befriend the ‘weird group’. This weird group practices witchcraft, and soon they all conjure up various spells and curses against those who even slightly anger them. It goes dark, quickly.
